Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Chemist/Officer to join our production team at the Ambernath manufacturing site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing production operations in compliance with GMP standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. This role requires hands-on experience with equipment, documentation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated with company policies, GMP guidelines, and safety/environmental regulations.
- Perform all production operations as per Master Batch Production Records (MBPRs) and SOPs, strictly adhering to GMP norms.
- Operate, clean, and maintain instruments/equipment as per respective SOPs.
- Follow safe work practices and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any process deviations, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Execute production activities as per the daily/weekly plan and meet defined targets.
- Suggest improvements for process efficiency, safety, or compliance.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation including MBPRs, logbooks, and other production records.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in the production area.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, EHS, and maintenance teams for seamless operations.
- Assist in the preparation and revision of SOPs and GMP-related documents for the production department.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in API manufacturing or chemical production.
- Working knowledge of GMP, safety protocols, and documentation practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
Preferred Qualifications (Add-ons):
- Experience in regulated environments (USFDA, EU GMP, etc.).
- Exposure to SAP or other production documentation systems.
- Basic understanding of EHS practices and hazardous material handling.
- Participation in internal audits or regulatory inspection
