ABOUT THE ROLE
PolyPeptide is on an exciting growth journey, and we are building our Global Supply Chain Team with a Senior Manager Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) on group / global level, reporting directly to our Director Global Supply Chain Management.
This role is responsible for leading and transforming the company’s end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning process across all regions and business units. This role ensures alignment between demand, supply, financial plans, and strategic objectives, enabling the organization to deliver optimal customer service, profitability, and working capital performance.
The role drives a data-driven, cross-functional planning culture, leveraging advanced analytics, digital tools (ERP/CRM), and best practices to enhance decision-making and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Global S&OP / Integrated Business Planning: Design, implement, and lead a best-in-class global S&OP. Ensure alignment between Demand, Supply, Finance, and Commercial strategies. Chair and govern the monthly global S&OP cycle (Demand, Supply, Executive reviews). Drive cross-functional decision-making and trade-off resolution.
Demand & Supply Integration: Lead global demand planning and forecasting processes. Ensure robust supply planning aligned with capacity, inventory, and service targets. Balance customer service (OTIF), cost efficiency, and working capital. Manage scenario planning and demand/supply risk mitigation.
Financial & Strategic Alignment: Integrate S&OP into financial planning and budgeting processes. Ensure alignment between operational plans and P&L, revenue targets, and margin objectives. Support long-term capacity and investment planning.
Performance Management & KPIs: Define and monitor global S&OP KPIs, including forecast accuracy & bias, OTIF / service level, inventory turns & working capital, capacity utilization, schedule adherence. Identify gaps and lead corrective action plans
Cross-Functional & Global Coordination: Align stakeholders across commercial / sales, operations / manufacturing, procurement & supply chain, finance. Ensure consistency and standardization across regions and business units. Drive global best practice sharing.
Continuous Improvement & Transformation: Drive the maturity evolution of S&OP. Foster the deployment, optimization, and governance of ERP, APS, CRM, and IT tools. Ensure high-quality master data, data integrity, and reporting standards. Drive automation, analytics, and KPI dashboards for real-time decision-making. Implement LEAN, agile, and digital planning practices.
Organization: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing group wide S&OP organization. Define roles, governance, and capability building (planning excellence, analytics). Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and fact-based decision-making.
YOUR PROFILE
You hold a Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related discipline; an advanced qualification in planning, operations, or business transformation is preferred.
You bring 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, or related functions, with demonstrated functional leadership responsibility in global or regional S&OP / IBP processes within complex, matrix organizations.
You have strong experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, CDMO, chemicals, or advanced manufacturing environments, and bring a solid understanding of how demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial plans interact in regulated and multi-site operations.
You have proven experience harmonizing and aligning multi-site planning processes, governance, data standards, and performance management practices on a global, international, or regional level in a multicultural environment.
In addition, you bring:
Deep knowledge of S&OP / Integrated Business Planning methodologies, governance models, and maturity frameworks
Strong expertise in demand planning, supply planning, capacity planning, inventory management, and scenario planning
Solid experience with ERP, APS, CRM, planning tools, master data standards, dashboards, and digital planning solutions
Financial acumen and the ability to connect operational plans with revenue, margin, working capital, and investment decisions
Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional influencing skills across Commercial, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain
The ability to translate complex data, risks, and trade-offs into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior management decision-making
You are a highly organized professional with strong attention to detail, complemented by excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You are capable of influencing stakeholders, driving change, and navigating complex organizational environments.

The position can be based at one of our European sites, including Malmö (Sweden), Braine-l'Alleud (Belgium, Brussels area), or Strasbourg (France).
